Feel the creaks How they move in Dying skin Keeps you living Could you wander Between blinds Peel the switchback Hold the warmth behind your eyes You became the mountain (Share the fruit) Once everything was small (Free the apple) You retain the mountain (It's widely known) And give it back better (You and I deserve the time to learn) I left tracks through the window For us to peer in On a strawberry moon

Colorways 02:34
I still think of that room with no windows When the needle turned red The room was static We all stopped moving Five different colorways of shock I still think of that room where we practiced Passing bottles of Purell No one knew what to do The air was trembling Our voices held out We didn’t think about our breaths Perpetually chased Always on the run (Still think about that room) Must be in good shape To survive this long (You're going to survive this one) Perpetually chased Always on the run (Still think about that room) Must be in good shape To survive this long

Sustenance 03:51
If you have anything to say then you should say it now The morning greets you with the wisdom to be breathing out Briefly eliminating desire from my heart Your needs are my needs so let’s pause for sustenance If you can keep your mouth closed If you can keep your mouth closed And breathe through your nose

What are you taking away with you Show me your go-bag Show me you know how Finally I’m coming too Everybody has a stage Six months in another place I remember what you forgot There are many ways to call yourself Looking up as the words sped by Carrying bits of people’s lives Staring back at a smiling face It’s ‘end times hauling’

about

Left Tracks is a California-based collaboration between Oakland's DI LEO (Phil Di Leo) and LA's Sun Kin (Kabir Kumar) The two longtime collaborators met in Oakland in 2016. In June 2021, they recorded End Times Hauling, their first project coming out of COVID lockdown - the name was inspired by a moving van spotted in the Los Feliz neighborhood of LA where the two recorded the EP.

The duo writes songs for the end times with jazzy harmonies and rhythmic, lush arrangements. Their music pulls from a plethora of genres but melodically speaks to the resilience of close friendship and the vulnerable communication at the heart of making music, being human and surviving together.

This music was primarily written and recorded in LA between June 24th and 30th 2021, with additional overdubs added between then and December 2022.
